Like a good gravy, the plot thickens in EP327...
Work is still rolling along a best it can while being in bankruptcy protection. I'm still getting paid. But I'm on the market looking for a new job in Saskatoon or Ottawa. If you come across anything or know of any contacts, let me know. My public profile can be seen on the linkedin website at:
http://www.linkedin.com/in/murphyneilI'm also on facebook.
Next week there will be no comic. I'll have a special in it's place. I'm off to Mexico for a week to forget about Nortel and work. This will probably be the last hurrah for awhile. I can afford it this year, but next year will be another story. Our regular schedule will resume on Tuesday, Feb 10th.
See you then.
Nortel, the company I work for, filed for bankruptcy protection last week. So there will be turbulent days ahead on the job front. I think the job hunt will start sooner than later. Anyone need a good used Engineer? I had a feeling 2009 was going to be a year of change... but I didn't think it was going to start so early.
Phil's looking a little nervous this week.
Happy New Year Everyone!
I'm back from holidays and had a great time. It was cold in Saskatoon (~ -20C), but we got outside and had a lot of fun. Ottawa has been getting a lot of snow and we have a bus strike too, so it's challenging to get around.
I forgot to mention that in November we've been "on the air" for 7 years. So with 2009, we proudly begin our 8th year!
We now return to our regularly scheduled comic programming... Is Phil going to spill the beans??
