You gotta love 'em. Those lobby groups who claim to represent "family values". You can always bet they have "family", "traditional" and "values" in their titles somewhere. And you don't have to dig too deep to find out they're some religious based group. I see alot of it right now in the debate over same-sex mariage in Canada. I hope Ester is at my house if any of these guys come knocking at the door.
All is well in computer-land again. It looks like Al is slow getting off the couch in EP165, but fast at passing the buck.
I just about didn't get this week's cartoon 'in the can'. My computer is wounded (aren't all computers wounded on some level?). But I managed to work around the problems for now. I guess I learned my lesson... I should have a least two epsiodes uploaded in case something goes wrong in the future. I draw the cartoons in advance, but the scanning and clean up on the computer is sooooooooo tedious, I leave that for the very end.
Happy New Year!! Hope everyone had a good holiday. I was in Saskatoon for the holidays and had a great time. With the first episode of 2005 (EP163) we see that Mr. Brown is the teacher, not the janitor. A little history here... Mr. Brown, Joe and Dave are some of the earliest characters I drew when I started doodling in high school. I was happy to be able to incorporate them into Straight Ahead. One of these days I'll give a more detailed history of the characters and show some of the first sketches I did of these characters. But for now, back to the drawing board and new episodes of Straight Ahead.
