EP223 was a pretty wordy episode. Phil still faints when he panics like he did way back when he went to the bookstore. Some things never change. I forgot to mention last week that I watched the series finale of Will and Grace. It was a good show and the end of a good sitcom. Eight years is long run for any show. I'm sad to see it go. Now there is no gay main characters on prime time TV anymore. I remember when Ellen came out on her show. It was fun to talk about the show with other people because the gay element in the show was new and ground breaking. And when it ended, we had Will and Grace. My favorites were Karen, Jack and Roseario (spelling??). Like Jack said in the last episode, I found the Will and Grace characters "exhausting" at times. I'll miss this show along with other favorites like Fraiser and Everyone Loves Raymond. Hopefully, there'll be some good new sitcoms coming soon (no more reality shows please!!!!!)
The idea for EP222 comes from my amazement of how much stuff women can put into those little purses they use at formal occasions. You know the ones. They are about the size of a quarter, but yet they manage to squeeze in their lipstick, makeup, cell phone, an emergency package for that female bodily function that is the same as a certain puncuation mark (.), and a 2 ton jack in case they have a flat tire on the way home from the party. I wish I had that talent for defying the laws of physics when it comes to my office. Our first long weekend of summer was a washout. Apparently, we've had eleven straight days of cloud and intermittent rain. Where is the sun?? I think the bulb's burnt out.
I really liked how EP221 turned out. I got a good laugh out of it. It's been raining here for the entire week. It will keep raining until Sunday. It's been raining so much, I think the animals are starting to pair up. We haven't had any flooding like the folks in the eastern US. I hope we'll get some nice weather soon because the Victoria Day long weekend is this coming weekend. This marks the unofficial start of summer!! Yay, summer. Yay, and extra day off. I've got to paint the porch and wax the truck.
I'll bet you didn't know Phil was such a good majorette !!
There's another splash of colour in EP219. Now that I look at the flag Phil's carrying in the last frame, I wonder if people will read it as the "Saskatoon Youth Gay and Marching Lesbian Band". Oh well, that would still get the point across. The Tulip Festival is just about to get underway this week and the flowers are looking great. It looks like the weather is going to cooperate too. In years past, I've heard some people call it "Stem-fest" because the flowers bloomed before the festival got going. The canal is full of water again too. Another sign that spring is here in Ottawa.
