Here we are at the beginning of May already. The craziness at work should subside in about two weeks. I noticed that the small print on frame 5 of EP261 is barely legible. It was supposed to be the credits for the song "We are Family" Music and lyrics by: Bernard Edwards, Nile Rodgers. Performed by: Sister Sledge, 1979. The idea of Phil ending up at the rally headquarters for the Gay Pride Parade organizers came in an email from one of my readers. It hadn't crossed my mind, and I thought it would be funny. Thanks Allan!
The sunshine is back!! We had a wonderful weekend. The weather was perfect. Everyone was outside enjoying springtime. We hadn't seen the sun for so long, I was beginning to think the bulb was burnt out. Now the chairs are out on the front porch and the lawn furniture is in the back. On Saturday, we had our first supper outside on the deck. Yay!! My Mom tells me there's been flooding northeast of Saskatoon. She went up to the lake to check on the cabin, and the water level is so high it comes up to the steps leading to the beach. Fortunately, the cabin is uphill and far away from the beach. Work is still crazy, but hopefully that will simmer down by the time May arrives. Looks like the D'BAD Queen has some interesting plans for Bitter Boy in EP260.
I'm hoping this blog entry will update with the newest cartoon EP259. If it works, I'll try and keep it synched up for the regular Tuesday update. It's still cold here in Ottawa. We're still getting some snow, but it's mostly turned to rain now. I can go without sunshine for about three days before I start to wilt. But still, we're getting only a tiny bit of the storm that is hitting the US East Coast and the Maritimes. So I'll stop complaining now. As usual, Phil and the Guilt Dyke are fighting in EP259. Will they ever learn?
Work, work, work. Things have been so busy at work this week, I didn't get a chance to write my blog before my website automatically updated last night. I'll try again next week. Last weekend was a long weekend. It was nice to have Friday off, but the weather was cold, cold, cold. To compensate for the weather, I went out and looked at patio furniture. If it wasn't warm, at least I could pretend. It looks like Phil managed his way out of another tight spot in EP258... or has he?
Well I tried to synch my blog entry with the cartoon update, but it didn't work. Keenspace was down on Monday, so I couldn't publish my blog. Oh well, better late than never.
Ooooo, Bitter Boy can get nasty. I like the D'BAD Queen's line in the fourth frame of EP257.
