Hello everyone!
Here's the cartoon update schedule during the Christmas holidays:
Tuesday, Dec 26th will be our annual Christmas special taken from my archive of drawings from years ago.
Tuesday, Jan 2 2007, will be our annual New Years special from the archives.
Tuesday, Jan 9th, we resume our regular update schedule.
For those of you celebrating, have a safe and happy holiday. See you in the New Year.
And so the parade begins in EP245. Do you recognize the top of the Bessborough in Frame 1? I was pleased at how it turned out. The initial sketch looked awful. I almost scrapped it until I started filling it in. I was disappointed with the colour frames this time around. The blacks look washed out and blue. I tried several times to work around that, but no luck. I didn't seem to have this problem in the past, and I used the same procedure too. You've probably guessed that the new character is not the happiest person in the world. His name is "Bitter Boy". I'll have to add him to the Cast page.
Christmas is coming and I'll be off to Saskatoon for the holidays. I'll publish the holiday update schedule soon.
Five years in the closet!!
That's right, November marked Straight Ahead's 5th anniversary. And so we start our 6th year and inch nearer to our 250th episode. What a trip it's been.
Thanks to all the readers for your support over the years.
As for EP244, I don't know if there is such a thing as a "Leatherman Roundup". But I wanted something with a western, rodeo flavour to it and something the D'BAD Queen would be *very* interested in.
Neil.
