It looks like Comicgenesis is still having some problems this week. Hopefully this week's episode won't be delayed.
EP265 is the last episode of the storyline "Phil Goes to the Gay Pride Parade". This week's episode is one of my personal favourites. I thought it was a nice romantic ending to the story. It's too bad the song "Deep Purple" isn't heard much anymore. It was a popular standard in it's time, but it seems to have faded away. Unlike other standards of the day like "As Time Goes By", "It Had To Be You", etc. I'm not sure why. Phil may be trapped in the closet, but he can dream complete with mood music.
When I started the Pride Parade storyline, I promised this story would be shorter than the previous Sex Ed storyline, which was a year long. Well, here it is more than a year later and the story is just finishing. What have I learned? Apparently nothing. Well, perhaps that I'm long winded. I'm *quite* confident the next story will be shorter. Ask me in a year's time.
Sorry for the delay folks, but Comicgenesis was having trouble for the last few days and wasn't updating. This didn't affect the people who subscribe for the comic through email though.
This last weekend was the Victoria Day long weekend. The unofficial start of summer! Yay! The weather was ok for about half of it, so I could do some things outside. I also went to a neighbour's wedding that was held in a local pub. I could walk to and from the ceremony. I had a great time. Very informal and low key.
As for EP264, I keep forgetting about the resolution limitations of webcomics. I drew all the characters too small in frame 2. On paper, they looked ok. On screen, they look very blurry. And the small print pointing to Ester in frame 4 is too small. It says "Always the concerned mother/doctor". I think Ester and Al need to buy a new TV, too. Mainstream media coverage of Gay Pride is something that's always bugged me. You only see the outrageous/controversial stuff. You never see the crowds and crowds of "ordinary" people that make up the community. But I guess that's not news.
Not much time to blog today. Hope everyone pampered Mom on Mother's Day on Sunday. Today is my big brother's birthday. Happy Birthday big guy.
Poor Phil. Phil-enstein keeps pushing him down in EP262. Phil doesn't need to visit the Grand Canyon. He's living in it. Not much new here. Just hanging out enjoying the nice weather.
